Dr. Renée McCauley is a member of the computer science faculty at the College of Charleston.

Her current research is on how students learn and understand computing science - specifically how novices learn to write, debug and comprehend programs.

  • Treasurer, ACM SIGCSE Board, 2007-2010.
  • Member, The Debugging Research Group (DEBUG). See us at our 2007 "summer camp" research meeting in Federal Way, WA.
  • Co-chair, ACM/IEEE-CS interim revision committee, CC'2001 computer science volume (with Andrew McGettrick)
  • IEEE-CS representative (with Ann Sobel) to the ACM/IEEE-CS curriculum steering committee, May 2007 - present.
